Job Title: Journeyman and Apprentice Pipefitters
Number of Openings: 5+
Job Type: Full-Time/Temporary 14 Day Shutdown in Fort Sask, AB (back to back)
Minimum Level of Education: Journeyman Pipefitter or Registered Apprentice
Schedule: 14 Day Shutdown September 16-19th, 2025
Locations to be Supported: Fort Saskatchewan Area
Position Summary
We are seeking Journeyman & Apprentices Pipefitters for a 14 Day Shutdown starting September 16th - 2 back to back shutdowns, The successful candidate will report to the site supervisor.
Other responsibilities include:
Strong mechanical aptitude with a focus on quality.
Calculating weight of materials and/or spools to ensure proper equipment is used.
Reading and interpreting client and company-supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
Measuring, cutting, threading, grooving, bending, and assembling and installing piping, valves, and fittings.
Joining pipe sections/related equipment and securing position.
Using testing equipment to check systems for leaks.
Complying with ONEC’s and client safety policies and procedures.
Must be receptive to working with short notice for call outs, nights, and overtime upon client request.
Operating machine tools such as lathes and grinders to fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance, or set-up of machinery.
Cleaning, lubricating, and performing other routine maintenance work on machinery.
Assembling machinery and equipment prior to installation using hand and power tools and welding equipment.
Our Ideal Candidate
Trade Journeyperson or Apprentice Certificate.
Knowledge and experience of industry related safe work practices.
CSTS 2020, WHMIS 2015, ESC H2S Alive.
Able to work well in a team environment.
Organized and self-motivated.
Must be capable of physical labour.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Attention to detail and the ability to meet quality standards.
Organizational and time management skills.
