JOB SUMMARY:
The Quality Inspector should have working knowledge of a production environment, specializing in the reading of blueprints and the use of standard measuring tools. You must possess excellent communication skills (oral and written) with an ability to effectively interact with integrated process teams, organizational skills, the ability to be forward-thinking for planning purposes, and attention to detail.
Candidate with previous experience in a manufacturing environment, specifically inspecting machined parts using precision measurement tools. Familiarity with bore video capture techniques and the categorization of inspection findings is highly desirable. Ideal candidate must be able to accurately interpret blueprints, charts, and dimensional tables, and should have a basic understanding of CAD software, such as SolidWorks or an equivalent platform. Proficiency with ERP systems, preferably JD Edwards (JDE), is required for documenting and tracking non-conformances. This role demands a high level of attention to detail and the ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and via email, with cross-functional stakeholders including Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality teams.
This position is for Night Shift, 10pm - 6am.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Inspect new and used products (visual, dimensional, workmanship) by reading blueprints and paying close attention to details.
Perform “First Off” inspection in-process and final inspection.
Ensure that NCR Documentation is correct and complete.
Use measuring tools as per proper procedures, and verify calibration of tools.
Check the quality of the product, including verification of proper stamping of parts and traceability numbers.
Coordinate measuring equipment calibration process.
Clean and maintain tools, equipment, and work areas.
Other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE QUALIFICATIONS:
High School or equivalent required
Minimum of 2years experience as quality Inspector or equivalent position
Experience or training with measuring equipment, have sound computer and math skills, and mechanical aptitude are considered assets.

JDE
Microsoft Office
Overhead Crane and Forklift Certificates are preferred.
HSE REQUIREMENTS
Participate in near-miss incident reporting
Adhere to all HSE policies and procedures
Able to work in a manufacturing environment (walking, standing, noise)
Ability to lift unassisted 35 lb.
