JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Senior Warehouse & Logistics
Coordinator to lead and support our warehouse operations and logistics
activities. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in
an industrial supply environment and a strong background in shipping large-scale
machinery or equipment. This role is critical to ensuring the smooth, safe, and
timely flow of goods in and out of our facility, while maintaining high
standards of accuracy and efficiency.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Warehouse & Inventory Management
- Oversee daily warehouse operations including receiving, inventory management,
picking, packing, staging, and shipping.
- Lead physical inventory counts and cycle counts; investigate and reconcile
inventory discrepancies.
- Optimize warehouse layout and storage systems to improve material flow and
space utilization.
- Maintain accurate shipping and receiving logs, BOLs, and inventory records
within MRP.
- Assist with the loading/unloading of machinery and ensure all equipment is
handled and transported with proper rigging and safety protocols.
- Perform other related duties as assigned to support departmental goals.
Logistics & Compliance
- Coordinate all outbound logistics, including scheduling pickups, preparing
shipping documentation, and selecting appropriate carriers, with a focus on
heavy machinery and industrial equipment.
- Ensure compliance with international and domestic shipping regulations,
customs documentation, and freight forwarding practices.
- Manage vendor and freight relationships to ensure on-time, cost-effective
delivery of goods.
- Enter and maintain digital files (packing slips, BOLs, and all relevant
paperwork).
Team Leadership & Performance
- Work cross-functionally with procurement, production, engineering, and sales
teams to align warehouse and logistics activities with company goals and
project timelines.
- Supervise and mentor warehouse staff to maintain a high level of
productivity, safety, and organization.
- Monitor KPIs and generate regular reports on warehouse and logistics
performance.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a warehouse and logistics role within an
industrial supply or manufacturing setting.
- Proven experience with coordinating the shipment of large or heavy machinery
(domestic and international).
- Strong understanding of warehouse safety protocols, transportation
regulations, and customs/export documentation.
- Strong attention to detail
- Proficiency in MRP/ERP or warehouse management systems (e.g., MISys, SAP,
NetSuite, Fishbowl, etc.).
- Experience with Quickbooks is a plus
- Excellent organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
- Ability to operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (valid
certification preferred).
- Ability to lift heavy items and work in a physically demanding environment as
needed.
WORK CONDITIONS
- Regular full-time hours (37.5 hours per week), 5 days per week
- Primary workplace location is the Purity Gas head office (with some
flexibility for hybrid)
- Minimal travel required, with potential for infrequent off-site meetings or
events
- 3 weeks of paid vacation per year.
