The Role
As a key member of our team the Bellhop will be responsible for greeting guests
and ensuring they have a positive and memorable first impression at the Resort.
They will display a high-level of hospitality when opening doors to greet our
guests, handling their luggage, and providing information about the facilities
and services offered by the Resort. They will present themselves professionally
when addressing the inquiries and needs of the guests. The Bellhop will be able
to work in a fast-paced environment and meet the physical needs of the position.
They will work well in a team environment and ensure the guests have a seamless
and memorable experience.
Your contributions to the team include:
- Greet guests and ensure they have a positive first experience at the Resort.
- Escort guests to their rooms and carry their luggage from the point of
arrival to their rooms.
- Assist guests if check in is delayed by providing knowledge and information
about the facilities and services offered by the Resort.
- Anticipate guest needs such as wheelchair assistance, holding umbrellas, and
opening door.
- Maintain Resort standards to the highest-level of hospitality.
- Ensure all department policies, procedures, and standards are followed.
- Assist Front Desk with guest requests and services in a timely manner, when
needed.
- Help run errands or provide support to the other Resort departments.
- Vigilant about ensuring the safety and security of guests and their
belongings.
- Maintain full awareness of emergency and safety procedures.
- Additional tasks and duties as assigned.
A few things we are looking for in a new team member:
- 1 year customer service experience.
- Prior hospitality experience.
- Experience in a physically demanding position.
- Ability to anticipate guests’ needs and requests.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Strong organizational, prioritization, and task management skills.
- Self-motivated individual.
- A positive team player.
- Must be able to perform job functions with attention to detail, speed and
accuracy.
- Remaining calm under pressure and resolving problems using good judgment.
- Ability to follow directions thoroughly with minimal supervision.
- Work cohesively with co-workers as part of a team.
