Masco Canada is seeking a highly detail-oriented and commercially driven Commercial Finance Manager to take ownership of Gross-to-Net (GTN) management. GTN refers to the financial impact of commercial programs such as trade discounts, customer rebates, chargebacks, promotions, and product returns. It represents the difference between gross sales and actual net revenue, making it one of the most critical levers in understanding profitability and driving commercial decision-making. This role requires a strong analytical leader with exceptional attention to detail, proven ability to manage complex data, and the capability to partner effectively with Sales, Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance. The Commercial Finance Manager will ensure accurate revenue recognition, optimize trade spend, and provide insights that directly influence strategic and operational decisions. Key Responsibilities Gross-to-Net Management Own the end-to-end GTN process, covering trade discounts, rebates, chargebacks, promotional spend, and returns. Maintain a detailed database of customer agreements and commercial terms; evaluate their impact on net revenue and profitability. Monitor GTN performance versus budget/forecast and deliver clear variance analysis with actionable recommendations. Partner with Sales and Commercial leaders to improve trade spend efficiency and maximize margin realization. Oversee accruals and ensure accurate and timely month-end closing of GTN-related items. Collaborate with FP&A to develop forward-looking models that forecast GTN impacts by customer, product, and channel. Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering Act as a trusted finance partner to Sales, Marketing, and Commercial Operations. Support strategic pricing decisions, new product launches, promotions, and customer negotiations with robust financial analysis. Present complex financial information in simple, business-oriented terms to non-financial stakeholders. Build strong cross-functional relationships, balancing commercial objectives with financial governance. Financial Reporting & Strategic Analysis Deliver monthly GTN dashboards, KPIs, and profitability insights to leadership. Contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning with a focus on net revenue and profitability drivers. Perform scenario analysis and ad-hoc financial reviews to support executive decision-making. Identify risks and opportunities in GTN and recommend proactive actions. Controls, Governance & Compliance Ensure GTN processes comply with Masco Canada’s policies, internal controls, and audit requirements. Partner with Internal Audit and Controllership to strengthen governance over trade spend and customer programs. Drive continuous improvement to increase efficiency, accuracy, and transparency in GTN reporting. Key Requirements Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or related discipline (CPA designation preferred). 5+ years of progressive finance experience, ideally in manufacturing, distribution, or consumer goods. Skills & Competencies Expertise in revenue management, trade spend, or Gross-to-Net processes. Strong financial modeling, variance analysis, and forecasting capabilities. Advanced Excel and ERP system proficiency (JD Edwards, SAP, Oracle, or equivalent). Exceptional attention to detail and ability to manage complex datasets accurately. Strong business acumen with the ability to translate financial insights into business recommendations. Proven ability to influence, challenge, and build consensus with diverse stakeholders. Organized, proactive, and able to thrive in a fast-paced, multi-stakeholder environment.
