What you can expect to do here:
Lead and manage Phase I & II Environmental Site Assessments (ESAs), site remediation, and support for Risk Assessments and Records of Site Condition (O.Reg. 153/04)
Apply knowledge of Ontario Regulation 406/19 (Excess Soil Management) in project planning and execution
Develop proposals, conceptual site models, and work programs
Supervise and mentor junior staff in both field and office settings
Coordinate field programs, subcontractors, and equipment logistics
Review and interpret environmental data, lab results, and historical records
Prepare technical reports and ensure regulatory compliance
Maintain strong client relationships and contribute to business development
Support health and safety initiatives and promote a safety-first culture
What you’ll bring to WSP:
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field, Master’s degree preferred
5–7 years of experience in environmental consulting, with a focus on site assessment and remediation
Eligibility for professional designation (P.Eng., P.Geo) and Qualified Person (QP) status preferred
Strong understanding of Ontario environmental regulations (O.Reg. 153/04 & 406/19)
Excellent communication skills and attention to detail
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for local fieldwork
