The Opportunity 16 month work term: May 2026 - August 2027 What You’ll Be Doing Take ownership of hardware and software projects as the lead Project Manager, defining and documenting project scope, goals, budget, and deliverables with support from the Program Manager and stakeholders Develop and create the project structure and maintain thorough documentation in Confluence Support the development and implementation of a broad, coordinated set of plans and programs to meet the goals and priorities of Lumentum Regularly collaborate with the Program Manager to monitor and control project schedules with engineering teams and communicate project status (technical and programmatic) to stakeholders and management Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion by leading regular occurring meetings Support the development process by ordering and tracking the program’s material procurement through Oracle Enterprise Manager Actively participate in hiring and onboarding the next cohort of co-ops, and develop training resources What We’re Looking For Working towards a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business with an interest in Project or Program Management, returning to school starting September 2027 Excellent leadership skills, combining critical thinking with empathetic and diplomatic communication Demonstrated ability to form collaborative and cooperative working relationships in all interactions Ability to work in ambiguous situations and define a path to resolution Excellent written and oral communication skills, motivated team player, self-starter and detail-oriented Any of the following would be considered a strong asset: Working knowledge of Miro, Confluence, JIRA, Oracle, Agile, or Tableau Detail-oriented, organized, and highly motivated individual Ability to operate effectively in highly technical and multi project environment Structured Project Management certifications such as PMI (CAPM), PRINCE2, Scrum, Six Sigma Perks You’ll Love Free parking Free gym Cafeteria with subsidized meals and free coffee/tea Prayer room Games room Join a Team That’s Shaping the Future At Lumentum, we’re more than just a workplace—we’re a launchpad for creativity and innovation.
