The Intelligent Cloud Infrastructure Lab aims to innovate technologies,
algorithms, systems, and platforms for next-generation cloud infrastructure. The
lab addresses scalability, performance, and resource utilization challenges in
existing cloud services while preparing for future challenges with appropriate
technologies and architectures. Additionally, the lab aims to understand
industry dynamics and technology trends to create a robust ecosystem.
About the job:

Leverage state-of-the-art research to deliver high-quality models and
fine-tuning framework enabling multiple AI projects at scale.

Conduct research and development in training and serving Multimodal Large
Language models with multiple stages of fine-tuning including SFT and RFT.

Design and implement multi-agent systems in collaboration with corresponding
production teams.

Data generation, collection and preprocessing to train and fine-tune large
models.

Production level optimization of models and systems to guarantee best
performance.

Generate reports and documentations based on experiment and analysis.

Deliver developed solutions and provide technical support for production
teams.

Collaborate with researchers to file high-impact patents and publish top-tier
conferences.
The target annual compensation (based on 2080 hours per year) ranges from
$78,000 to $168,000 depending on education, experience and demonstrated
expertise.
About the ideal candidate:

Master’s or PhD degree in Computer Science or a related discipline with a
focus on Machine Learning, Computer Vision, LLM, Reinforcement Learning or
mathematics.

3+ years of experience as part of highly functional software development team
building world class products.

Demonstrated success in deep learning projects involving Transformers, LLM,
VLM, MLLM, Reinforcement Learning, etc.

Experience in Software Development, Machine Learning, Data Engineering, Data
Science, LLM, Reinforcement Learning or related field with a track record of
solving industrial problems with SOTA algorithms and frameworks.

Proficient coding skills in Python and Pytorch with the ability to
efficiently translate research ideas into prototypes.

Experience in fine-tuning of LLM Models (Language, Vision and/or Multi-modal
Models) with SFT or RFT.

Strong publication record at relevant conferences such CVPR, ICCV, ECCV,
NeurIPS, ICML, ICLR, AAAI, IJCAI etc.

Demonstrated industrial experience in building large scale machine learning
solutions for production-oriented tasks.
