River Rock Casino Resort is currently looking an experienced Banquet Server to join our team. The successful candidate will report to the Manager, Food and Beverage and will be an integral part of our Food and Beverage team. The main responsibilities for this role will be assisting with room set up and serving of guests.
Duties and responsibilities for our next Banquet Server will include:
Assisting with room and table set up
Buffet and/or coffee break set up
Refreshing buffet and/or coffee stations
Serving guests menu items in a prompt and courteous manner and checking to ensure satisfaction
Performing pre and post shift duties, folding napkins, filling condiments etc.
Clearing tables, removing glasses and re-stocking if required
Assisting other Servers as necessary
Liaising and communicating effectively with all appropriate operational departments
Ensuring compliance with licensing laws, health and safety and other statutory regulations
Performing other duties as assigned or directed
Successful candidates will demonstrate the following qualifications:
Some experience in a Food and Beverage environment
Banquet experience an asset
Serving It Right, Smart Serve or IGB certification, or the ability to obtain a Serving it Right Certification
The ability to stand for long periods of time
Exceptional interpersonal and communications skills
Fantastic customer service skills
Excellent multi-tasking skills
Being collaborative and never losing sight of being a part of a team
The ability to successfully obtain a criminal record check
A willingness to learn, develop and achieve new skills for personal and professional development

Candidates must be ready and willing to work a flexible schedule, including afternoons, evenings, nights, graveyards, weekends, and holidays. The hours of work will be based on operational and business needs.
