Meaty Meats is a specialty retailer focusing on Fresh Organic Meats and Charcuterie, as well as in-house Prepared Foods. We operate two locations in the GTA, focusing on customer experience.
As the owner of the company's retail meat operations, reporting to the Retail Operations Manager or similar, the Butcher is responsible for designing, implementing, and delivering our retail meat operations across our two locations as well as our e-commerce web store. This is a permanent full-time employment with day shift and overtime available.
Responsibilities
Cut meat and poultry into specific cuts for institutional, commercial, or other wholesale use
Remove bones from meat
Record information on products inspected
Clean and maintain work space
Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat
Education:
Registered Apprenticeship certificate or equivalent experience
Specialization: Meat cutting/Meat cutter
Required work experience: 2 years to less than 3 years
