The Director, Corporate Real Estate will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive global Real Estate strategy that aligns closely with corporate objectives. This role will be responsible for maximizing value across various Real Estate functions, such as but not limited to, Manage the CRE Function, Manage Facilities Services and Assets, Optimize Portfolio Strategy, Plan and Execute Capital Projects, Manage Customer Relationships, Manage Vendor Partnerships, Manage Workplace Strategy, Maintain a Sustainability and Wellbeing Strategy, while ensuring cost optimization, compliance, and operational efficiency. Candidate will have experience leading vendor management and sourcing processes and leveraging procurement technologies to enhance efficiency and performance reporting. Candidate will also have strong negotiation skills and a proven track record in vendor and supplier relations Reports directly to the Director, Procurement and Purchasing and will collaborate closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams, and vendors and subsidiaries. Key Responsibilities Enable the Corporate Real Estate Key Functional Activities & Execution Strategic Leadership & Execution Develop and implement a global corporate real estate strategy in alignment with corporate goals. Build and manage organizational structure for the CRE function, including insource/outsource strategies, talent development, and technology adoption. Oversee the CRE dashboard and ensure effective use of real estate technologies. Portfolio & Facilities Management Forecast portfolio requirements, conduct location assessments, manage lease agreements, and measure portfolio performance. Set and manage service levels for facilities, establish emergency preparedness protocols, and ensure building compliance and security. Capital Projects Establish and manage capital plans, oversee project execution, and evaluate project performance to ensure alignment with strategic objectives. Stakeholder & Vendor Management Manage business partner relationships, communicate the value proposition of CRE, and measure customer experience. Identify, select, onboard, and manage vendor partnerships, ensuring optimal performance and collaboration. Workplace Strategy Oversee workplace design, policy development, technology integration, and space utilization measurement. Foster a workplace identity aligned with organizational values. Sustainability & Wellbeing Design and implement sustainability initiatives, ensure building sustainability, and promote employee wellbeing. Financial Management & Budgeting Oversee budgets, ensuring cost-effective spending and alignment with corporate financial goals. Provide senior leadership with data-driven reports on Corporate Real Estate performance, including cost savings. Team Leadership & Development Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Finance, Operations, Legal, HR, Sustainability and IT, to align Corporate Real Estate initiatives with overall business goals. Provide leadership to a team of Corporate Real Estate professionals. Coach, mentor, develop, mentor and retain top talent. Technology & Process Optimization Implement and deploy Integrated Workspace Management System (including Field Service Management) technology to its full capabilities to improve team’s efficiency. Ensure data accuracy is respected by the team. Utilize data and analytics to support location assessment decision-making. Lead Corporate Real Estate processes, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and budgetary requirements. Oversee Real Estate Portfolio governance, ensuring compliance, performance optimization, and risk mitigation across all locations. Manage contract (lease) negotiation and performance tracking, ensuring favorable terms, service level adherence, and continuous improvement. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree preferably in a quantitative and/or a qualitative related fields such as Law, Finance, or Civil Engineering. 10+ years of experience in Real Estate, or supply chain, with a strong strategic focus. Expertise in leading business case creation, optimization, and communication of complex topics in simple terms – critical to translate unfamiliar topics stemming from analytics or non-core specialty areas to senior executives Expertise in driving technology implementation and complex system integrations Strong financial acumen, including budget management and cost analysis. Experience leveraging Real Estate technologies. Integrated Workspace Management System experience preferred. Exceptional leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
