Ray-Mont Logistics is currently seeking a permanent full-time Compensation and Benefits Coordinator to join its vibrant team. The Human Resources department, located at the Montreal Head Office, is responsible for supporting all Ray-Mont Logistics’ sites and employees, located in Canada and in the United States. As a professional team member of Ray-Mont Logistics the main responsibilities of the Compensation &Benefits Coordinator consists of the following:
Tasks:
Act as the main point of contact for payroll processes and questions for our various group entities
Submit, in a timely manner, weekly payroll data for all Canada and USA group entities
Ensure processing of employee requests for time off, vacation and record of employment documentation
Validate employee data coming in from the punch clocks
Submit, on a weekly basis, employee tax information
Examine quarterly fillings regarding source deductions
Ensure timely submission of all year-end documentation (T4, R1, W2, 1095c’s) for all government levels
Keep up to date with payroll changes and implement yearly statutory payroll modifications
Develop and maintain comprehensive and up-to-date employee profiles in the organization's HR systems
Implement salary adjustments and increases on applicable platforms, ensuring accuracy and adherence to company policies
Prepare and distribute detailed reports for senior management, providing data-driven insights as required
Administer group insurance programs and virtual medicine platforms, ensuring consistent and efficient operations
Manage employee enrollments and deactivations within group insurance platforms, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations
Follow up with employees on required insurance forms to ensure timely submission and processing
Respond to employee inquiries related to compensation, benefits, and other HR matters with professionalism and clarity
Coordinate onboarding and offboarding processes, including the preparation and dispatch of relevant communications
Draft and issue employment letters, including verifications of employment, in line with company protocols
Educate employees on the organization’s benefits programs, fostering understanding and engagement
Work on compensation related projects ensuring alignment with organizational goals and benchmarks
Qualifications
3-5 years of experience in compensation and benefits
Experience using Ceridian/Dayforce (asset)
Must be bilingual (English and French)
Studies in human resources, accounting or a relevant field
Payroll certificate (asset)
Knowledge of accounting practices (asset)
