We are seeking a results-oriented Senior Procurement and Contract Manager to oversee and execute the full scope of procurement and contract management services across all phases of complex infrastructure projects. Acting in an agency capacity, you will be responsible for delivering best-value outcomes aligned with our client policies, standards, and project requirements.Primary ResponsibilitiesProcurement ManagementDevelop and implement project-specific Supply Chain Strategies and Contracting PlansDefine work packages and identify suitable Trade ContractorsPrepare and execute procurement packages including Requests for Tender (RFT) and Requests for Proposal (RFP)Lead joint evaluation committees for bid reviews, negotiations, and award recommendationsManage contract award processes including issuance, execution, and documentationRaise and administer Purchase Orders in systems such as SAP and AribaContract ManagementAdminister contracts in line with our client standards and represent the owner when delegatedMaintain accurate and complete records of contract documents and correspondenceTrack and verify all contractor submittals and deliverablesCoordinate delivery and expedite goods, equipment, and servicesSupport claims management, recommend payments, and assist in resolution of disputesTrade Contract Lifecycle SupportPre-Tender: Define trade scopes, recommend long-lead purchases, and support sourcing documentationTender Phase: Issue bid documents, manage correspondence, evaluate tenders, and provide award recommendationsPost-Award: Monitor contract performance, support resolution of deficiencies, and administer claims and variationsQuality AssurancePerform procurement and contract management activities in accordance with project quality requirements, including those outlined in the applicable Quality Assurance scopeSystems & ToolsOperate within client’s procurement and contract management systems such as procurement (BC Bid, SAP) and contract management (SAP, Unifier, Ariba)Ensure compliance with current processes and adapt to updates in systems as requiredQualificationsDegree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or related fieldMinimum 7 years’ experience in procurement and contract management, preferably in infrastructure or utility sectorsDemonstrated experience managing complex tender and contract processesFamiliarity with BC Hydro’s Management and Accounting Policies and Procedures (MAPP) or similar frameworks is an assetProficiency in SAP, Ariba, Unifier, and related procurement platformsStrong negotiation, analytical, and organizational skillsExcellent communication skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholdersThe expected salary for this position is from $115,000 to $140,000 based on the richness and diversity of the candidate’s experience, training, skills and internal equity.
