Cornerstone Co-op invites applications for the position of Meat Cutter to join our Meat team on a part-time (up to 24 hours per week) basis at our location in Elk Point, AB. Reporting to the Deli/Meat Manager.
What you’ll do:
Engage and interact with member-owners and customers to provide outstanding Co-op experiences.

Provide meal solution suggestions and recommendations to members and customers based on their needs and preferences.
Cut, trim, and prepare standard cuts of meat including beef, pork, chicken, and other meat products.
Cut all pork and beef primals into customer-ready portions, ensuring proper quality and consistency.
Prepare and display Butchered Seasoned meat to meet customer demand and display standards.
Wrapping, pricing, and merchandising products in line with the Co-op’s standards, policies, and CASM guidelines.
Perform proper clean-up, maintenance, and housekeeping duties (i.e., logging temperatures, sanitizing work areas).
Follow all safe food handling practices and adhere to safety protocols to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
Be available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, weekends, and statutory holidays on a rotational basis.
Demonstrate day-to-day behaviors and actions that align with and strengthen the Co-operative's vision, mission, values, and focus on safety.
Perform other duties as assigned to support team operations and customer service initiatives.

Who you are:
You have a Grade 12 education or a combination of relevant experience.
Completion of a recognized Retail Meat Cutter Training Program is an asset but not required. We are willing to train the right candidate.

You are proficient in handling and preparing a variety of meats, including beef, pork, and chicken, while adhering to food safety and quality standards.
You are capable of regularly lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs.
