What you will do...
Develop pricing recommendations and actuarial indications across all provinces and lines of business using standard techniques and minimal supervision.
Perform GLM ratemaking analysis and support system implementations for pricing changes, including rate requirements and testing.
Conduct competitive market research to inform pricing strategies and maintain awareness of industry positioning.
Design, build, and maintain actuarial data marts to support analytics and reporting across the organization.
Create SAS programs for data exploration, trend analysis, reporting, and tracking; produce ad hoc management reports as needed.
Lead data analysis projects to support decision-making across all lines of business.
Research and test advanced analytics methods, tools, and R&D opportunities to improve actuarial and business outcomes.
Manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, delivering accurate and timely solutions with minimal oversight.
Contribute both independently and collaboratively, demonstrating flexibility in team and solo project work.
What you will bring...
University degree (Actuarial Science, Statistics, or Analytics) is preferred or equivalent experience.
Successful completion of a minimum of 4 Actuarial Exams, ideally with an ACAS or FCAS designation.
A minimum of 5 years of progressive, relevant experience in a data analysis role.
In-depth knowledge and understanding of Guidewire database design and architecture, such that data extraction programs can be created accurately and effectively.
Advanced proficiency with SAS, SQL, and Excel.
Medium to advanced proficiency of Emblem for use in GLM analysis.
A good understanding of P&C pricing and ratemaking concepts.
Demonstrated strength in oral, written and presentation communication skills.
Proven ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Prior management experience is preferred.
