We're looking for an Accounting Analyst to join our growing Finance team!
Reporting to the Financial controller, the Accounting Analyst will play a
crucial role in ensuring a timely period-end close and accurate financial
reporting, as well as assisting the finance team with day-to-day business
operations. The ideal candidate is highly proactive, a strong critical thinker,
a problem solver, and extremely organized. You are someone who works
independently on a variety of tasks and adapts to a fast-changing environment.
What you’ll do:
- Contribute to monthly financial operations by assisting in account
preparation, and reconciliation, and conducting insightful analyses of
financial statements to ensure accuracy.
- Support month-end and year-end close accounting processes.
- Collaborate with various departments to gather financial data to ensure
accurate accounting records.
- Conduct in-depth analysis of financial data to identify trends, variances,
and opportunities for improvement.
- Supporting the audit preparation and providing relevant documentation to the
auditors.
- Contribute to process improvements and optimization of accounting
procedures.
About you:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance
- 2+ years of professional experience in audit, or accounting
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy in work
- Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting
standards
- Proficiency with Excel and accounting software (experience with Quickbooks or
similar tool is a plus)
- Excellent time management and organizational skills
- Well-organized and able to handle multiple tasks quickly and accurately
- High energy, flexible, and has a willingness to take initiative
- CPA designation an asset
