Our Calgary (AB), Edmonton (AB), or Burnaby (BC) office is seeking a Water Resources Design Technologist to join our Water Resources team.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Water Resource Team Lead, you will have the following responsibilities:
Preparing engineering drawings and topographic maps using AutoCAD Civil 3D for river restoration, flood mitigation, erosion control, and watercourse crossing projects, which includes the following:
Preparing plan, profile, grading and section drawings.
Develop and edit complex terrain models and surfaces.
Preparing presentation graphics and report figures.
Support hydrologic and hydraulic modelling efforts by integrating survey data, GIS Inputs and specifications into CAD deliverables.
Coordinating project drawings with project managers, technical staff and others within Stantec’s western Canada offices.
Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner.
Understanding and adhering to Stantec standards.
Assist in quantity take-offs and cost estimations by extracting data from CAD models.
Organizing and maintaining a design and CAD digital file database for each project.
