The opportunity
Our client, a leader in their field with a national presence and an
international client base, is looking for a Graphic Designer to join their Brand
Marketing team. From leading-edge campaign assets to high-impact internal
presentations, you will bring the brand to life in bold, creative ways that
inspire and engage audiences. Working closely with the Brand Director and
cross-functional teams, you will help develop and maintain a cohesive visual
identity, drive design innovation, and ensure every creative touchpoint aligns
with the organization’s mission and strategic imperatives.
This is a full time, hybrid position working 2 days a week in downtown Toronto.
What’s in it for you
Impact and ownership. You will be empowered to take ownership of your work,
elevate the quality of the final product, make informed recommendations, and
upskill the role itself. You will have the freedom to spread your creative wings
while trusting in the strategic direction that has been thoughtfully developed
and approved.
Creative freedom in a unique space. You will have opportunities to make tactical
creative decisions that create lasting impressions. You will work across
multiple channels, balancing high-volume production requests with larger-scale
brand and campaign initiatives.
Mentorship and growth. You will work under the guidance of a supportive and
highly experienced leader, gaining insights into strategy, brand stewardship,
and creative execution. You will also have access to professional development
and certification programs, with opportunities to expand your career in multiple
directions.
Exposure and innovation. You will design for a wide range of digital and
traditional platforms, from paid social and OOH to print collateral, landing
pages, and presentations. You will stay at the forefront of design trends,
digital innovation, and best practices, translating insights into actionable
creative ideas.
What you will do:
- Be creative. You will bring a modern, strategic approach to your asset
production, considering audience, media, and message. You will ensure every
design aligns with brand standards while seeking opportunities to evolve the
brand to stay competitive and capture market share.
- Execute design projects. You will create and optimize visually compelling
designs for websites, brochures, social posts, internal presentations, and
external advertisements. You will develop mock-ups for creative approval,
partner with copywriters for cohesive messaging, and support urgent smaller
requests such as recruitment collateral, brochure updates, and web graphics.
- Lead and collaborate. You will take creative ownership of projects from
concept to delivery, with strong attention to detail and adherence to
timelines. You will work cross-functionally on initiatives that support the
organization’s strategic imperatives. You will participate in brainstorming
sessions, present your design rationale, and adapt based on constructive
feedback. You will provide creative direction and feedback to freelance
designers as needed, and offer informal mentorship and training within the
team.
- Ensure quality and consistency. You will maintain a consistent visual
identity across all creative assets and uphold compliance with advertising
and marketing standards. You will conduct thorough reviews of design files,
typography, colour, and layout before production or distribution.
- Share knowledge. You will assist other team members by training on tasks,
sharing your expertise, and contributing to a positive corporate culture that
values equity, inclusion, learning, and wellness.
What you bring:
- The passion and mindset. You are creatively driven, strategically minded, and
eager to go beyond the basics to deliver exceptional results. You bring
maturity, business acumen, and professionalism to every project. You are
receptive to feedback, flexible in applying direction, and confident in
defending your creative decisions.
- The creative expertise. You are skilled in both traditional and digital media
and can interpret the needs of the target audience and the chosen medium. You
have an exceptional eye for layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
- The professional experience. You have experience in-house within a marketing
or brand team, with proven success in brand building, campaign design, and
digital-first execution. You thrive in fast-paced, cross-functional
environments and can balance multiple priorities with ease.
- The technical toolbox. You have advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite
(InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva, along with working knowledge of
digital platforms and file specifications for paid social, OOH, and web. You
also have strong MS Office skills (PowerPoint, Word, Excel, Teams).
- The interpersonal skills. You communicate openly, present your work
confidently, and build strong relationships with cross-functional partners.
You value diverse perspectives and foster collaboration across teams.
