He/she keeps abreast of the advancement in the field of theoretical physics. He/she will be available for consultation on his/her area of expertise by other members of TRIUMF community. RESPONSIBILITIES: Produces original research results, which are disseminated through publications in pre-eminent scientific journals and through presentations at international conferences • Actively participates in local seminars and workshops • Participates in the scientific life of the laboratory as a whole by interacting on a regular basis with experimenters and visitors. KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS: The incumbent must have a PhD in nuclear or particle physics or equivalent; good and broad knowledge of theoretical physics tools, methods and literature; good communication skills; and attention to the most recent developments in the field. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS AND YEARS OF EXPERIENCE: A recent PhD received within 5 years, in nuclear or particle physics and evidence of potential to expand her/his physics expertise.
