The Foundation will invest $50M by 2026 to address some of the most pressing health inequities facing women, including lack of representation in health research, barriers to accessing mental healthcare, and the urgent consequences women disproportionately face due to poverty and domestic violence. About the Opportunity: Shoppers Foundation for Women’s Health seeks a highly motivated and organized Community Investment Specialist to join our team. In this role, you'll play a key role in planning and executing impactful programs and fundraising initiatives and deliver consistent and expanded communications activities to support our mission of fostering health equity for women. To excel, you'll be a skilled multitasker, excellent communicator, and passionate about making a difference. Responsibilities include fundraising, event planning and logistics, providing reporting and updates to stakeholders, and administrative support. Reports To: Manager, Community Investment Key Responsibilities: Partner with Manager, Community Investment to support key fundraising initiatives - Run for Women and Giving Shelter, including campaign planning and execution, relationship building with store and charity partner network, communication and reporting activities. Own end-to-end Menstrual Equity programming including Pad It Forward program, menstrual education initiatives and partnerships. This includes program development and communication, monitoring and evaluation, as well as day-to-day store support and engagement with key internal partners. Support Foundation stakeholder communication activities including writing and content development for annual Impact Report, quarterly Associate-owner newsletter, Foundation website and social media platforms etc. Identify and cultivate compelling storytelling opportunities to enhance brand awareness and engagement on internal and social media platforms. Respond to general inquiries received in the shared Foundation inbox in a timely and professional manner. Undertake special projects and other duties as required to support the overall success of Shoppers Foundation. Qualifications: Post-secondary education or equivalent experience in communications, community engagement, marketing or a related field. Demonstrated experience and a genuine interest in fundraising and event planning (experience with non-profit organizations is an asset). Proficient in MS Office, particularly Excel. Experience with fundraising, grant making and/or volunteer management software. Exceptional organizational skills and the ability to effectively prioritize multiple tasks. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both verbal and written). Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion. Self-motivated, optimistic, and a collaborative team player. Knowledge of French (an asset). Why work at Shoppers Drug Mart?
