What will you do?
Design and maintain a comprehensive data and analytics curriculum that aligns with the organization's needs and incorporates industry best practices
Create diverse training materials for standard City of Edmonton data tools (e.g. Tableau, Google Looker Studio, Google BigQuery) for a combination of self-study and instructor-led formats
Translate complex technical and business concepts into clear, easy-to-understand content and steps
Serve as an instructor and subject matter expert in analytics classroom courses
Facilitate training sessions for a wide range of employees with varying levels of computer proficiency and technical knowledge
Provide technical support and advice to clients on analytics tools and techniques
Evaluate program effectiveness by collecting and analyzing feedback, then sharing reports on the scope and impact of the training delivery
Coordinate with subject matter experts to ensure all training materials are accurate and up-to-date
University graduation from a recognized program in education, such as a Bachelor of Education, Bachelor of Science or Bachelor of Arts, Adult Learning or Development certification, or related field such as business or technology
A minimum of 4 years of training experience leading, delivering and designing knowledge, working in the field of adult education, instructional design and/or developing course curriculum related to online learning
Equivalencies:
Related diploma and 5 years related experience
Related certificate and 7 years related experience
Assets:
A minimum of two (2) years of Project Management experience preferred
Skills required for success:
Preference for technology-related curriculum development
Experience/knowledge of enterprise applications
Experience using Data Visualization software
High degree of technical proficiency in a variety of Google Workspace applications
Proven ability in producing Self Study eLearning
Understanding of Google Cloud Platform technologies
Extensive knowledge of curriculum mapping and instructional design strategies
Knowledge of cloud ERP technology
Experience managing and working with external consultants
Proven planning and organization skills to manage curriculum development and training delivery
Demonstrated skills in facilitation of groups with competing interests and priorities
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to interact well with a diverse group of executives, colleagues, staff and citizens
Strong written communication and presentation skills, including training material writing
Ability to convey technical training to both a technical and non-technical audience
Ability to facilitate training sessions with a variety of staff
Ability to analyze complex technical information
