Job Description What is the opportunity? In this role, you will be responsible for Data Integration Analyst activities on medium to large size Agile, Iterative and Waterfall projects. You will partner with IT and assigned business lines to assess, research, analyze and document data interface needs - changes to Insurance Middleware services, Business Areas and Technology. In addition, ensures proper test coverage for data interfaces with new or existing software to ensure requirements are met. What will you do? Provide system integration consulting services to business partners on new initiatives (small to large of varying complexity). Together with Project Team, determines best mix of development, interfacing applications, third party vendor solutions to meet business requirements and project objectives. Participate in detailed requirement phases identifying, tracking, escalating and/or resolving business systems issues. Participate in release meetings for maintenance and development projects ensuring all platform and data requirements are met. Use defined/new methodologies and software to test new technologies/system functionality of moderate to difficult complexity to ensure business acceptance, user acceptance and system integration. Assess, research, analyze and document sponsor/stakeholder needs in accordance with project deliverables (Agile, Iterative and Waterfall methodologies) utilizing reporting tools, requirements. Troubleshoot, diagnose, and accurately document interoperability problems and their probable causes. Identify root/cause, test, and implement solutions. Contribute to test plans and executes testing including leading the systems and acceptance testing by facilitating participation of appropriate staff in project completion. Build and maintain a repository of reusable requirements documentation to support future initiatives. Provide recommendations/feedback on solution design, test approach and test results based on requirements. Work with development & infrastructure teams to resolve compliance, security and other safety & soundness issues within the established deadlines. Together with the Data Team develop and govern consistent data controls across the RBC Insurance platforms. Participate in agile events such as daily stand-ups, story refinement, sprint demos, retrospectives and quarterly program increment planning, Participate in AI adoption Work Groups to discover areas where productivity can be significantly improved. Work within the IA team to assess, research, analyze and document process efficiencies for various integration services Enforce and support data protection policies and cybersecurity best practices. What do you need to succeed? Must-have 5-7 years of relevant career BA/BSA experience in a project-based Agile, Iterative & Waterfall environments. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, inquisitive nature and comfortable challenging status quo with the ability to analyze complex data sets and develop creative solutions Experience in Requirements analysis and quality documentation: Scope Modelling, Business Process Modelling, Use Cases, Data Requirements, Business Rules Analysis, Non-Functional Requirements, User Stories, Story Decomposition, and Story Mapping, Acceptance and Evaluation Criteria Definition. Experience with data model development, data transformation and system to system interfacing; controls and error handling techniques Excellent communication skills both verbal and written. Clearly articulates technical concepts to both IT and business stakeholders. Proven track record of learning new skills and applying the newly acquired skills in the workplace. Experience in Backlog Management and the application of business/technical priorities to assess required timelines for execution. Nice-to-have Working knowledge of Microsoft BizTalk, Salesforce, Extract, Transform and Load (ETL), and Data Lake house applications (Snowflake, MDM etc.) Working knowledge of SOAP, RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, and ACORD messaging standards. Experience working in Coordinated Agile environment. Experience working with Application Programming Interfaces (API) Experience working with Large Language Models (Machine Learning) Experience working with Generative AI (Data Ingestion) and AI Tools (CoPilot, WindSurf, Lumina, etc.) Working knowledge of JIRA and Confluence environments.
