We are currently recruiting for a Workplace Health & Safety Administrator to support the growth and management of our Workplace Health & Safety program including Occupational Health & Safety, WHMIS, Warehouse and Maintenance safety programs across all terminals and premises. The position of Health and Safety Administrator crosses over all company departments and interacts with department managers, supervisors and employees, drivers, owner operators, lease operators to strive to meet the goals and objectives of the Safety program including prevention. In addition, frequent cross communication is required with external agencies. Specific Responsibilities include: Workplace Health & Safety: Contribute to the development and improvement of health and safety programs and awareness initiatives across all facilities. Maintain Safety Data Sheets (SDS) and oversee WHMIS-related inventory checks. Coordinate monthly safety committee meetings, inspections, and reporting. Consolidate findings from all locations to identify safety gaps and opportunities. Provide monthly safety board content and lead toolbox talks for maintenance and warehouse teams. Deliver monthly educational shares for both driving and non-driving roles. Organize and lead annual NAOSH activities, including safety campaigns and wellness initiatives. Manage training records for first aid, emergency response, forklift operation, and other safety certifications. Support the creation of SOPs and risk assessments. Assist with provincial audits and follow-up activities. Participate in incident investigations and recommend corrective actions. WCB and Return to Work: Provide backup coverage for WCB and RTW program activities. Ensure timely injury reporting and review incident documentation. Coordinate with consultants and agencies (WCB, WSIB, NAL) for case management. Facilitate modified duties and ensure proper documentation for injured workers. Other Duties: Support additional safety-related projects and initiatives as assigned. Our Ideal Candidate will possess: Experience and knowledge of workplace safety and compliance issues as they pertain to road transportation. A Degree/Diploma or certification in Occupational Health and Safety or a related field. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, communication and multi-tasking skills. Strong MS Office skills – Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Keen attention to detail and established exemplary record keeping skills. A high level of initiative and commitment and the desire to continually improve. Above average analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent perception and interpretation skills. Ability to travel within Canada is required.
