Your role at Baxter Working in our Warehouse Mississauga for the Warehouse Manager, the Warehouse Team Lead is a member of a team responsible for full process ownership for the day-to-day operation of the Warehouse: including product storage, movement, inventory management, coordinating shipping and receiving activities, and maintaining a safe and organized workspace. Provide exceptional service to our external and internal customers. The Warehouse Team Lead plays a key role in the overall efficiency and success of the warehouse. As we are dealing with medical equipment, our environment requires careful attention to detail and close compliance to process and handling requirements. What you will be doing: Warehouse Activities Coordinate all activities in the warehouse, including receiving, shipping, storing, picking, and checking process for accuracy to ensure customers’ orders are fulfilled in a timely manner. Maintain accurate inventory records by conducting regular stock checks, prepare cycle count reports, reconcile discrepancies, and update the inventory management system. Create and maintain warehouse locations. Ensure efficient use of warehouse space based on the business requirements and ensure proper product flow throughout the warehouse. Train Supply Chain Coordinators on efficient methods of order picking and increase efficiency and improve accuracy in the fulfillment process and procedures to ensure load accuracy. Manage FIFO inventory procedures and move and adjust any expired products according to the company’s policy. Co-ordinate the loading and unloading of goods, ensuring proper handling and storage to prevent damage or loss. Implement and enforce standard operating procedures to optimize warehouse efficiency and productivity. Provide support for any External or Internal Audit. Work with the Customer Support Team to resolve any customer discrepancies in a timely manner. Escalate any receiving and shipping issues to management. Manage inventory based on the ship hold procedure. Maintain forklift safety check audit according to SOPs. Handle damage claims with the freight companies in a timely manner. Facility Support and Maintenance Maintain working areas consistent with 6S principles. Perform “light” facility maintenance such as install / modify / remove racking, area taping, area signage as required. Order shipping supplies and monitor and maintain equipment and machinery in the warehouse, arranging for repairs or replacement as needed. Be a Positive Contributor Maintain a positive, effective working relationship with suppliers (carriers, couriers, facility maintenance, etc.), other team members, Baxter staff and customers. Bring an innovative mindset of continuous improvement to your role every day. Proactively engage and help the business achieve its goals. Business Excellence Adhere to the Environmental Health & Safety requirements in all areas of the facility. Understand and follow all applicable facility Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Proactively drive Enterprise Management Systems (EMS) objectives and improvement initiatives. What do you bring: Successful completion of a Business Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience. Experience, education or training in warehousing operations and logistics. Required: Position is suitable for candidates familiar with warehouse management ERP system, who can show a strong work ethic, attention to detail and good character. 1 year of warehouse lead experience. Additional Skills / Special Training / Technical Skills Required Required: Ability to lift up to 35lbs on a routine basis. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to closely follow directions and procedures. Capability to drive a forklift (we will train if not currently certified). Good communication skills (written and oral). Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word and Outlook (or similar email application). Preferred: Experience working in a Warehouse environment. Experience or certification operating a forklift.
