Prolium Industries is the leader in above ground storage tank maintenance in Canada. When it comes to storage tanks, we do it all from minor repairs and modifications to major tank upgrades. We are currently seeking Site Supervisors who are located in the Edmonton area.
The Opportunity
Prolium is currently looking for an experienced Supervisor to join the team. With a “safety first” approach, this position is responsible for overseeing the safe and effective execution of repairs to above ground storage tanks. The successful candidates will be driven, results-orientated and team players, and able to solve problems and present practical solutions to Project Managers, Engineers, and the Client.

Key responsibilities:
Ensures Health and Safety is the number one goal by following corporate and client policies and procedures. Lead your field execution by setting an example of safe work practices.
Act as the main point of contact and Prolium representative for client/contractor interactions that take place at the field level
Management of all field project personal to ensure that their assigned duties are being carried out and working with Prolium management to remove/replace any field personnel who are not adequately functioning in their position
Reviewing project documentation and ensuring that all approved plans, procedures, ITP’s and drawings are adhered to for execution of the work
Ensuring that Prolium tool trailer is kept adequately stocked and always maintained
Planning of day-to-day activities and ensuring that all required resources and approvals are in place for the planned work
Actively manage project resources and make requests for any additional resources required to maintain project schedule and /or safety
Advising Prolium Project Manager of any changes to the scope of work
Being an active, positive role model and leading by example
Assist with training and mentorship of field employees, with emphasis on new and young worker development.
Delegating tasks to project team and ensuring all tasks are complete to a high standard of work and that adequate progress in being made to maintain project schedule
Working with the Project Manager and client on all aspects of the project
Ensuring submission of all required paperwork and daily LEMS to client and Prolium office for billing and payroll
Ensuring that project safety and quality records are being maintained to be turned over to client following completion of the project
Provide updates on progress and schedule including forecasting of work
Ensure that all material of 3rd party services received on site are tracked and recorded on the daily LEM including cost
Assist in the procurement of materials, consumables and equipment
Lead the morning toolbox meeting to review the days planned work and delegate tasks to field team
Key qualifications:
Valid Class 5 driver’s license is required
Previous tank maintenance experience is an asset
Journeyman Welder or Pipefitter certificate is not required, however would be considered an asset
Possesses strong leadership skills
Strong Communication skills; must be fluent in speaking/writing English
3-5 years of supervisory experience in oil and gas
Proficient computer skills
Must be able to pass pre-employment Drug & Alcohol Test
Ability to work with minimal management supervision in a team and safety focused environment.
Must be physically fit and able to safely lift to 50 lbs.
