Our growing Infrastructure team in Ontario is looking for a Structural Engineering Trainee to join our Mississauga office. In this role, you will contribute to water and wastewater infrastructure projects - some of the most essential and sustainable systems in our communities. During your first year, you will be assigned to a client's site as a Resident Inspector, where you will support construction inspection and coordination activities as part of your development program.
Our projects include everything water and wastewater related, water storage, pumping facilities, treatment facilities, equipment storage buildings, administration, and laboratory buildings too. We are part of a larger team that provides full multidiscipline support for each project.
Primary Responsibilities:
Assist in structural design and prepare drawings and specifications
Determine construction costs and quantities, and carry out studies and technical reports
Conduct field work including investigations/inspections for the design, retrofit, remediation and construction of structures
Review progress and compliance of construction work in accordance with tender documents
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in civil or structural engineering
Up to 2 years of structural engineering experience within heavy civil projects (water or wastewater projects are considered asset)
Valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle
