This isn’t a “keep the lights on” role; it’s a hands-on position with room to grow into an IT Manager. You’ll have the autonomy to make real decisions, adopt emerging technologies like AI-driven automation and cybersecurity tools, and help shape the future of IT across our group of companies.
You’ll report to the Marketing Director and collaborate with employees at every level, as well as external partners and vendors.

For this role, the candidate will be entrusted with a broad range of responsibilities designed to enhance our IT infrastructure and ensure seamless operations. The ideal candidate will contribute to our team by undertaking the following duties:
Handle Level 1 to Level 3 support requests (locally and remotely) with a focus on quick resolution and great communication.
Analyze, design, and implement new IT systems that improve operational efficiency and user experience.
Support employee onboarding, including new device setup, user account creation, and access configuration to ensure a smooth start.
Manage and maintain IT infrastructure across all group companies, including servers, networks, workstations, software, and peripherals.
Collaborate with Managed Service Providers (MSPs) and external vendors to strengthen network security, scalability, and data protection.
Support MSP partners with the development and maintenance of backup, archiving, and disaster recovery systems.
Administer user accounts, system permissions, and access control policies.
Monitor and audit user access on a monthly basis to ensure data security and compliance.
Monitor, evaluate, and optimize mobility contracts and devices.
Research, test, and recommend emerging AI tools, process automations, and smart technologies to improve efficiency and productivity across teams.
Support the integration of AI-powered solutions into everyday workflows (such as chatbots, predictive tools, and automation platforms).
Stay up to date with best practices in cybersecurity, data protection, and IT management.
Contribute to IT budgeting, vendor management, and system documentation.
Help build long-term IT strategies and policies that align with company goals and sustainability values.
Provide on-site IT support across our regional offices and partner locations as needed.
Travel throughout Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley to assist remote workers and support local teams.
Lead staff education initiatives by helping employees better understand key programs, software tools, and digital best practices.
Develop and manage phishing simulations and security awareness campaigns to strengthen the company’s cybersecurity culture.
Bring a proactive approach, with a focus on continuous improvement and the ability to adapt to the evolving needs of a dynamic workplace. A commitment to maintaining the highest standards of IT security and system efficiency is essential.
Requirements
While not all requirements are mandatory, we highly value each attribute:
A post-secondary degree, diploma, or certificate in IT, Computer Science, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Certifications in relevant technologies (Microsoft, CompTIA, AWS, Cisco, etc.) are a plus.
Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
Proficiency in operating systems, networking, and system support.
Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities.
Experience managing projects and working both independently and collaboratively.
Interest or experience in AI tools, data automation, or cybersecurity is an asset.
Detail-oriented, with strong documentation and process management skills.
A growth mindset—eager to learn, adapt, and eventually lead.
Ability to pivot quickly and adapt to the company’s changing needs while staying calm and focused.
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the patience and empathy to support and communicate effectively with people across all levels of the organization.
Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within BC as required.
Additionally, experience with specific software or hardware relevant to our industry, understanding of cybersecurity best practices, and familiarity with cloud services and solutions would be considered an asset. We value candidates who are passionate about technology and driven to continuously improve and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
