What you will do:
Working under the direction of the General Foreman, the Shipper/Receiver – Parts Picker is responsible for delivering exceptional customer service, managing the shipping and receiving of parts and supplies, maintaining a safe work environment, collaborating effectively as part of a team, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and performing other duties as assigned. The primary responsibilities of this role include, but are not limited to:
Key Responsibilities:

Workplace Safety
- Always practices safety in the workplace to protect self and others
- Complies with all safety policies and Occupational Health and Safety regulations

Customer Service
- Provides prompt, professional, and courteous service to customers and internal departments
- Responds to inquiries and expedites orders efficiently

Parts Picking & Inventory Control
- Checks availability of parts and picks items according to work orders
- Issues picked parts to work orders and maintains inventory accuracy
- Processes product returns and manages backorders
- Orders out-of-plant parts and materials as required
- Submits requests for in-house production of required components
- Operates non-powered and powered material handling equipment (dollies, hand trucks, forklifts)
- Ensures parts are stored and organized in designated bins and storage areas

Teamwork
- Collaborates with team members to achieve department and company goals

Other Duties
- Puts away stock parts and assists with shipping and receiving as needed
- Performs other related duties as assigned
Your qualifications:
- High school diploma with basic math skills
- Minimum of 1 year of related experience
- Forklift operation experience is an asset
- Familiarity with heavy equipment attachment products and manufacturing processes
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Excellent organizational and time management abilities
- Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills
- Comfortable working with minimal supervision
- Proficient with computers and inventory software
- Demonstrates sound judgment and professionalism when handling sensitive issues
- Works effectively as part of a collaborative team
