The Opportunity
We’re looking for a Senior Network & M365 Platform Administrator to strengthen our network reliability, security, and performance across a multi‑site environment. You will engineer and operate site networks, internet egress, and cloud connectivity - while advancing zero‑trust/SASE controls and our disaster recovery posture. You’ll collaborate closely with our existing senior network talent and trusted partners to keep clinicians and contact centers online and protected.
Periodic travel to key clinics will be required.
What you’ll do
Own network reliability for multi‑site clinics and offices across provinces: routing/switching, site cutovers, Wi-Fi, and WAN optimization.
Lead secure internet egress and SASE operations and rollout (policy, posture, troubleshooting, user experience), and mature our zero‑trust program.
Engineer and administer SharePoint Online: tenant‑level settings, site provisioning standards, hub architecture, permissions model, lifecycle, and external sharing governance - integrated with Entra/Conditional Access and M365 Admin baselines.
Mentor junior admins in their execution of projects and help develop their administration capabilities.
Administer and evolve network infrastructure:
(policy design, HA, segmentation, upgrades, cloud connectivity, and vendor coordination) with a focus on security and simplification.
Harden Microsoft 365/Entra access from a network perspective: (Conditional Access interactions, device posture signals, secure admin access paths).
Collaborate with IT leadership to co‑create and manage the annual IT budget, providing input on network, cloud, security, and collaboration investments to align with business priorities and growth plans.
Administer and maintain the on‑premises virtualized environment: (VMware/Hyper‑V): monitor performance, manage networking integration, patch hosts, and ensure alignment with DR and security standards.
Contribute to DR and business continuity planning: (network dependencies, runbooks, testing, and recovery patterns).
Partner with trusted vendors/consultants to accelerate outcomes while maintaining Careica standards and knowledge transfer.
Plan and lead technical projects by collaborating with business stakeholders, developing comprehensive project and rollback plans, coordinating cross-functional teams, and providing clear communication on progress, risks, and outcomes.
Provide tier‑2 escalation: drive root‑cause analysis and preventive improvements.
What you’ll bring (Must‑have)
8+ years in enterprise networking with multi‑site operations and change leadership including:
Project management (project planning, communication plans, risk registers, rollback planning)
Executive-targeted communication (high quality, speaking their language)
Microsoft 365/Entra administration (Conditional Access interactions, device trust, identity‑driven policies).
Excellent collaboration and communication skills with front-line clinical staff, management, and vendors.
A security‑minded approach.
High level of initiative and follow-through, ensuring successful outcomes by proactively managing priorities and deadlines.
Nice to have, but not a dealbreaker
Experience with Zscaler ZIA/ZPA or equivalent SASE stacks.
Familiarity with Sophos firewall environments (or demonstrated cross‑vendor fluency).
QoS design for voice/contact center platforms.
Exposure to DR patterns with Veeam/VMware/NetApp.
Understanding of Canadian privacy and healthcare obligations (e.g., PHI handling, least privilege) in clinical contexts.
Experience with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager)
Understanding of SQL Azure security best practices
