As an Environmental Technician/Technologist, you will work in collaboration with the GTA Environment team.
Your main responsibilities will be to co-ordinate and complete assigned activities with respect to the implementation and management of environmental projects including but not limited to:
Apply and promote Englobe’s health and safety policies and culture.
Provide consulting services in conjunction with environmental site assessment and remediation of sites and excess soils management (80% field, 20% office).
Main responsibilities will include: supervising drilling and excavation activities, collecting soil, groundwater and air samples, completion of hydrogeological studies including aquifer response tests, mentoring junior staff and preparation of technical report.
Work in collaboration with members of the Environment team throughout Ontario.
Participate in planning meetings.
Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in leading environmental field
College or University Degree in Environmental Science/Geoscience or Engineering.
Strong problem solving and troubleshooting skills.
Good with tools and general repair and maintenance of field equipment.
Able to work successfully in both alone worker or team setting.
Strong communication skills, written and spoken.
Outgoing and a team player.
Willingness and ability to travel throughout Ontario.
Working knowledge of the record of site condition (RSC) process and Excess Soil process in Ontario.
Demonstrated sensitivity and consideration for occupational health and safety.
