We are looking for a Medical Solutions Partner - Rheumatology to join our Medical Affairs team based in Canada with the ideal location of Ontario or Quebec
About the role
The Medical Solutions Partner is a field based, non-sales role that will hold responsibility for executing an overall medical solutions and disease state engagement strategy, for national, regional and local thought leaders and strategic partnerships, in support of the Medical Solutions Strategy with Dermatology or Rheumatology organizations. They will assist in building UCB’s leadership position in the Rheumatology through strong differentiation of our value proposition and by connecting and leveraging stakeholder relationships both internally and externally.
Who you’ll work with
The Medical Solutions Partner role requires working cross functionally with internal stakeholders such as Medical Affairs, Marketing and Ecosystems to ensure optimal engagement at congresses, consulting meetings and other related activities, to deliver on aligned Patient Value Strategies. This role also requires close partnership with Field Medical Leads, MSLs and Ecosystem Leads to pull through a coordinated customer table strategy.
What you’ll do:
Assist in the execution of UCB’s peer-to-peer strategy.
Maintaining deep scientific knowledge in areas of Immunology.
Ability to manage complex relationships with multiple field-facing teams
Collaborates with Marketing to coordinate and pull through corporate strategy and execution at key conferences.
Planning and execution of medical advisory board and consulting meetings, in coordination with field and head office teams.
Strategic design and execution of executive engagements and national KOL coordination with cross-functional teams to maximize UCB’s HCP partnership and engagement opportunities.
Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple high priorities and evaluate results making go/no-go decisions
Strength in execution of programs and overall disease awareness activities
Develops and maintains a keen understanding of the therapy areas and national and regional KOLs and effectively deciphers noise from signal in insights.
Strong communication skills to influence at different levels of the org. and externally
Cultivate and deepen relationships with KOLs in order to understand the appropriate partnerships in order to develop and pull through a successful strategic plan.
Strong digital and omnichannel mindset with experience using and implementing CRM and cross-functional engagement planning tools
Operates at the highest level of UCB compliance and professional standard and adhering to compliant behavior is an expectation at UCB and is demonstrated by embracing ethical decision-making practices and guidelines in all aspects of our organization.
Interested? For this position you’ll need the following education, experience, and skills:
BS/ BA Degree, MD/MS/PhD preferred
5+ years’ experience in medical (e.g., MSL), sales, marketing, KOL development and/or other directly related roles
Experience working with an immunology/ rheumatology product and/or portfolio strongly preferred
Experience working successfully with medical and commercial teams
Demonstrates scientific knowledge in customer settings
Prior launch and launch planning preferred
Proven experience at being able to build processes and deliver in-person and digital solutions
Ability to travel up to 50%
