Position: Occupational Health & Safety Manager Reports to: Vice President, People & Corporate
We are looking for an Occupational Health & Safety Manager to join our Operations team! This role is primarily responsible for working with the Operations team to develop, implement, and manage the Occupational Health and Safety programs!

Knowledge & skills
You are a designated Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP).

You have excellent planning, analytical, and organizational skills
You have a working knowledge of various computer applications including Office 365 including SharePoint.
You have at least 3-5 years of experience working as an OHS professional
You have related post-secondary education

Occupational Health and Safety Certificate/Diploma
Experience working in a food manufacturing environment.
things you will do…
Engage and empower the workforce around the importance of Health and Safety and provide support on the floor
Monitor, analyze, and implement effective occupational safety and health programs.
Coordinate with stakeholders to deliver training/information sessions, manage risks, and develop safe work practices.
Provide coaching and development to First Aid attendants
Chair monthly Health & Safety Committee meetings and facilitate Health & Safety policies and programs.
Provide OHS support to operations, engineering and associated support departments.
Provide monthly safety reporting, regular feedback on project status updates, and document incremental savings on WCB premiums.
Ensure the completion of comprehensive and results focused incident/accident investigations, including root cause analysis
Maintain effective and progressive safety communication vehicles and coach team members on OHS policy and procedures.
Manage WorkSafeBC related claims, Return to Work programs, create Training & Development standards and more.
Introduce creative Safety programs to engage staff to help support company objectives
