TITLE: Mountain School Supervisor – Local Programs LOCATION: Snowbird STATUS: Full-Time, Hourly, Seasonal SCHEDULE: Variable (including weekends & holidays) SUMMARY As Mountain School Supervisor you will manage daily operations for all local programming including Adventure Team, school programs, multi week programs, and special groups. Oversee support team (lunch, rentals, supervision, administration, terrain management). WHAT YOU’LL DO Assist in coordination and scheduling for all local programming, including maintaining relationships with leads and providing service for each group. Communicate with parents, local school coordinators and Snowbird Leads as it pertains to their programs. Help manage staffing levels daily based on business needs. Make necessary changes to accommodate business levels and staff needs. Help supervise ordering and maintenance of appropriate inventory of supplies. Help supervise learning terrain (grooming, sculpting) including Miner's Camp learning terrain features. Contribute to staff training. Provide performance evaluations to assigned staff members once per season. Help to schedule and manage support staff (non-instructor staff) for all programs. Other duties as assigned. WHAT YOU NEED TO GET THE JOB DONE Must have the ability to interact at any time with guests and other employees in a pleasant manner and maintain good working relationships with others and all departments at Snowbird. 1-2 years of job-specific work experience with demonstrated competence. Must comprehend and make judgments/assumptions about operational efficiency and opportunities for growth. This includes the ability to predict trends and build schedules for instructors. Must be able to read, analyze, and interpret PSIA/AASI technical journals. Must understand and work well with young children and parents. Must be at least 21 years of age. Familiarity with our scheduling system Flaik, demonstrating tech adaptability and focus. Must be a competent skier or rider and be able to pass a physical capacity exam. PSIA Certification preferred. WORK SCHEDULE Four days, with flexibility for five days, depending on business levels. May be early morning or late evening, weekends, holidays. PHYSICAL & MENTAL WORKING CONDITIONS Up to 75% of the workday may be spent outdoors in extreme winter conditions, including snow, wind, and freezing temperatures. Frequent walking in ski/snowboard boots on slippery, uneven surfaces. Requires continuous standing, bending, lifting, and movement throughout the day. High noise levels, frequent interruptions, and rapid task switching demand strong focus and emotional regulation.
