Our business partner, a well established and recognized professional services firm located in downtown Montreal, is seeking a Financial Controller to bring their expertise to the finance team.

YOUR ROLE:
Your main responsibilities will include:
Collaborating with senior management in overseeing the company’s financial and accounting functions;
Managing and supervising the accounting team by providing guidance and support, particularly in accounts payable, accounts receivable, and billing;
Preparing and presenting periodic financial statements (monthly, quarterly, annually) in compliance with accounting standards;
Participating in the annual budgeting process, including preparation, review, and monitoring of budgets;
Analyzing budget variances and providing recommendations to improve financial performance;
Actively contributing to the continuous improvement of processes.
SKILLS REQUIRED:
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration;
Experience in a Financial Controller role within a professional services environment;
CPA professional designation;
Advanced skills in financial analysis and budget management;
Strong interest in emerging trends and process optimization;
Team management experience is an asset;
In-depth knowledge of accounting principles, financial standards, and tax regulations;
Ability to communicate clearly and concisely with internal and external stakeholders;
Excellent leadership skills;
Strong bilingual communication skills, both written and spoken;
Experience and interest in ERP system implementation and proficiency in accounting and financial software.
