What you’ll do:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager:
You will be responsible for providing an exceptional level of customer service and maintaining a safe and efficient operation while adhering to all company, industry and governmental policies, procedures, and standards, including meeting established productivity standards.
You will be responsible for maintaining payroll and benefit administration for all employees. Ensure payroll & benefits related practices are applied consistently across the organization and are in alignment with the business needs and applicable legislation and collective agreements.
You will engage with all department managers to respond to inquiries and provide support and recommendations regarding issues related to payroll and benefits.
You will assist with administering employee programs, paid/unpaid leaves and return to work processes. Support health and safety initiatives including WCB claims and related payroll coordination.

Who you are:
You are looking for a career in Human Resources and:
You have post-secondary education (diploma or degree) in business with a preference in human resource management, however, we welcome candidates with a combination of relevant experience and/or education.
You have 3-6 years of relevant experience, preferably in a unionized environment.
You are a positive, approachable and motivated individual with a drive to learn.
You have professional, people-first, guest experience skills.
You have strong attention to detail as well as organizational and interpersonal skills
You have quality communication skills and commitment to ongoing development in the industry.
You’re honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
You believe in building relationships and collaborating to deliver solutions that matter most, and you recognize the value that different perspectives bring to meet shared objectives.
This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week.
