Job Overview:
Responsible to own and optimize the financial strategy for an assigned retail account by being fully embedded in the business. Acting as a strategic finance partner, the analyst supports customer-specific pricing, forecasting, and innovation planning. Through deep collaboration with cross-functional teams, this role drives revenue growth, margin optimization, and financial clarity across seasonal and everyday planning cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
Own/Maintain E2E pricing (Costing Tool/TVC/Price Grid) for assigned retail account
Initiate the TVCs for any product launches/changes
Work with cross functional teams (PD, Marketing, Finance, Procurement etc.) to ensure the TVCs have the most recent information to complete OTIF
Benchmark cost components with different categories/Customers for consistency
Align TVCs/Price Grids with customer marketing team and then the Sales team
Support seasonal & everyday planning cycles (line reviews) by aligning pricing strategy with overall customer margin requirements and category strategy
Support customer-specific pricing strategies that balance competitiveness with margin goals. Partner with Sales and Customer Marketing teams to ensure pricing reflects customer expectations, cost realities, and volume targets.
Planning & Forecasting
Working with Marketing/Sales/Finance/CS help prepare sales forecast by Category/SKU using insights/data from internal and external source (Nielsen/Walmart or others)
Integrate revenue drivers (price, mix, volume) into financial models to support strategic planning and scenario analysis.
Financial Modeling & Decision Support
Create business cases for new marketing initiatives, including scenario analysis and feasibility assessment
Model revenue impact of new items, cost changes, and customer-specific programs to support go/no-go decisions.
Support innovation pipeline by modeling financial impact of new concepts, including feasibility, cost-to-serve, and volume potential.
Conduct post-launch reviews to assess financial performance of new items and identify learnings for future cycles.
Process Improvement & Compliance
Drive continuous improvement in reporting processes, tools, and systems.
Ensure compliance with internal controls, financial policies, and procurement processes.
Maintain clean, structured documentation for pricing and item-level financials
The Recipe for Success:
College diploma or university degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field of study
Minimum 3 year of previous experience in an analyst role (Pricing, costing)
Minimum 1-year experience with an ERP system
Strong communication skills (verbal and written), adapting message to suit stakeholder group
Ability to prioritize, organize workload, and manage time effectively with a proven ability to work in a high demand and fast-faced environment
Ability to work independently and with minimum supervision to deliver time-bound tasks.
Detail-oriented, quick thinking, resourceful, with the ability to balance multiple deadlines/priorities
Ability to collaborate with other staff/departments to problem solve and correct issues as they arise
Strong MS Office skills required including Pivots and Formula/Functions required
Sound judgement and good analytical skills, as well as excellent research skills
