Are you the one we’re looking for?
We are seeking a dynamic, highly motivated Accounting Processor who demonstrates our values of compassion, accountability, responsiveness, and empowerment; to our clients, families, and each other.
This position is a non-unionized, full-time, permanent position. The rate of pay is $25.78 per hour. This position is 40 hours per week.
Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for accurately reviewing, processing & validating transactions for both Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable. These include invoices, vendor forms, client fee billing forms, etc.
Maintain the childcare financial system. This includes setting up billing templates, invoicing client fees, applying payments, responding to families, and ensuring data is accurately matched to the Accounts Receivable.
Ensure records and supporting documents are retained and filed in line with company procedures.
Maintain Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable emails. Communicating with program staff and external partners as needed.
Working alongside the Accounting Coordinator and Finance Manager to ensure accounts accurately reflect expenses and revenues.
Work from the head office one/two days a week to process weekly payments, issue and reconcile petty cash, and process deposits when needed.
Support with data collection and analysis. Including expense tracking for invoicing and audit documentation.
Adhere to company policies, procedures, and regulatory standards, and keep financial information confidential.
Provide additional administrative support when needed (Document scanning, shredding, etc.).
What you will bring:
College or University degree in Finance, Economics, or Business
Experience with accounting software. Preferably Sage 300. ProCare experience a plus.
Proficiency with Microsoft Products, including Excel
Essential to have strong attention to detail and a focus on accuracy.
Organization and Communication skills necessary to retain clear records and work alongside staff and external partners.
