Lesson format: Face-to-face, in-person
Details
Availability: Friday evenings, between 4:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Lesson Frequency: 1 time per week
Lesson Duration: 1 hour each
Current level: Beginner
Native/other languages: Tamil, English
Goals:
Provide tuition support for schoolwork and build confidence for upcoming exams
Strengthen understanding of school French curriculum and assignments
Build vocabulary and grammar skills appropriate for grade level
Improve reading and comprehension abilities
Prepare for language exams and develop school-related communication skills
Understand how schools function in the new country
Learn through games and interactive conversation practice
Responsibilities
Design engaging and structured lessons aligned with the school’s French curriculum
Support completion and understanding of school assignments
Incorporate games, conversation, and interactive methods to enhance motivation
Focus on grammar, reading, and vocabulary building
Help the student gain confidence in both spoken and written French
Provide regular feedback and adapt lessons to the student’s learning pace and interests
Qualifications
Native or near-native proficiency in French
Certificate or degree in language teaching, education, linguistics, or related field
Minimum of 2 years’ teaching or tutoring experience with children
Experience supporting school-aged students and homework assistance
Ability to make lessons fun, interactive, and tailored to the child’s learning goals
