The Opportunity We’re looking for an IT Planning Analyst to help shape the future of our IT Portfolio function. In this strategic and collaborative role, you’ll guide the intake, assessment, and prioritization of IT initiatives, ensuring alignment with Medavie’s business goals and technical roadmaps. You will promote the value of IT Planning by enhancing project portfolio scheduling, governance, and stakeholder engagement, while also supporting the creation and evolution of tools and processes that drive intake and demand management. You’ll work closely with business and IT leaders, facilitating workshops, analyzing demand, and supporting decision-making through clear communication and structured analysis. This is a high-impact role for someone who thrives in dynamic environments and enjoys driving innovation and continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities Owns IT intake demand process: Effectively track requests and ideas. Ensure the collection of quality information as it relates to IT intake to aid in effective decision making and IT planning. This includes but is not limited to business demand, value, effort, resource constraints, and skills required. Facilitate Collaboration: Run requirement-gathering workshops and monthly portfolio meetings with cross-functional teams. Portfolio Analysis & Reporting: Maintain intake databases, monitor demand trends, and support executive-level reporting to enable data-driven decisions. Support Business Case Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to define high-level opportunities, solution options, and cost/resource estimates. Drive Strategic Alignment: Identify initiative dependencies, coordinate assessments, and ensure alignment with corporate priorities and resource availability. Build Relationships: Act as a trusted advisor across business units, promoting the value of IT planning and enhancing stakeholder engagement. What You Bring College diploma or bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience. 5+ years in an analytical role within an IT solution-based environment. Experience in project management, business relationship management, or financial analysis is an asset. Strong communication and facilitation skills across all levels of an organization. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and working knowledge of PowerPoint.
