We are seeking a passionate and experienced Data Analyst, experienced in the field of Geotechnical/Civil Engineering, to join our dynamic Mining Environmental Group in Vancouver. If you thrive on analyzing complex datasets and enjoy collaborating with engineers and geoscientists, this role is for you.
The role of Data Analyst will provide you with the opportunity to:
Data Analysis and Visualization: Analyze large, complex datasets to uncover trends, patterns, and actionable insights that support dam safety decision making. Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations using tools like Power BI.
Collaboration and Mentorship: Collaborate closely with engineers, geoscientists, and project teams to integrate geotechnical/civil engineering insights into our large multi-year mining projects. Guide, mentor, and train engineers and geoscientists on the use of visualization and workflow automation tools.
Who we are looking for:
We respect the knowledge and experience you have gained to date and are willing to help you build on it. We do however require:
A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Geotechnical/Civil Engineering, Data Science, or a related field.
5+ years of experience in data analysis and management.
Proficient in data analysis tools and programming languages (e.g., SQL, Python, R).
Proficient with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI).
Experience working with large and complex data models and using AI and machine learning tools.
Experience with API calls and management (e.g., REST, Jupyter).
Experience in related field (e.g. mining/geotechnical/civil engineering) is a plus.
Experience with Bentley OpenGround Cloud software is a plus.
Excellent written/verbal communication and collaboration abilities.
The salary for this position is $90,000 to $110,000 per year. Salary is based on applicable experience, education, and skill level. In addition to salary total rewards includes:
