Position Title: Terrain Park Ambassador (Seasonal)

Job Summary: Terrain Park Ambassadors are the face of safety and service in Chicopee’s freestyle terrain park. This individual will work hands-on with features and signage, assist with inspections and maintenance, and promote responsible park use by engaging with guests and enforcing terrain park rules. This role is ideal for individuals with strong freestyle skiing/snowboarding skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a passion for safe, progressive terrain park experiences..
Roles and Responsibilities:
Ensure the safety and enjoyment of guests by enforcing the Alpine Responsibility Code and Terrain Park Guidelines
Promote positive behavior and freestyle etiquette, educating users on smart terrain park use
Monitor park activity and report unsafe conditions, behavior, or equipment issues to supervisors immediately
Conduct daily terrain park inspections, including documentation of park logs, safety checks, and feature conditions
Assist with the setup, teardown, and ongoing maintenance of park features, fencing, and signage
Rake, shape, and maintain jumps, rails, boxes, and other features throughout the shift to ensure rideability and safety
Support with accident response and communicate incidents to Ski Patrol or other departments as needed
Serve as a point of contact for guests in the terrain park, providing information, assistance, and feedback
Remain alert and proactive in identifying potential hazards or guest concerns
Participate in pre-season and ongoing training programs, including safety protocols, equipment handling, and emergency response
Assist other departments when operational needs arise
Be available to support special events, terrain park competitions, or demos with setup, promotion, and takedown
Key Qualifications:
Confident freestyle skiing or snowboarding ability, capable of navigating all features in the park
Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment
Strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Able to consistently lift up to 45 lbs (20.4 kg) and perform other physically demanding tasks
Comfortable working long hours outdoors in all weather conditions
Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to safety and guest service
Proactive, observant, and committed to enforcing safety standards professionally
Prior experience working in a terrain park, with freestyle features
Additional Requirements:
Passion for snow sports, outdoor recreation, and guest engagement
Strong people skills: approachable, empathetic, and a good listener
Must be flexible and available to work weekends, evenings, holidays, and during peak periods (e.g., Christmas, March Break)
Must provide your own Black snow pants (no logos), CSA Z263.1, ASTM F2040, EN 1077, or Snell RS 98 certified ski/snowboard helmet and ski/snowboard equipment
Other uniform components per Chicopee’s uniform policy
A Chicopee uniform jacket will be provided upon receipt of a $100 refundable deposit and signed Uniform
Required Certifications: PSIC, CSIA, or CASI
Asset Certification: CSCF (Canadian Ski Coaches Federation)

Background Check:
