SUMMARY
The Wok Cook is well versed in the art of authentic Asian cuisine. The Wok Cook will prepare authentic Asian food and coach/mentor cooks on proper wok cooking techniques.

JOB DUTIES
- Adhering to Alberta Sanitation Code and standards and Steritech food safety protocol
- Responsible for maintaining a clean and organized work area
- HACCP and strict adherence to temperature control, portion control, and waste control.
- Working in a fast paced, warm kitchen environment, with knives and sharp mechanical equipment
- Following the directives of the Chef and Sous Chef
- Training other cooks as assigned on proper wok cooking techniques
- Following recipes consistently
- Product rotation and labeling
- General cleanup maintenance of the kitchen area and cooler/freezer area.
REQUIREMENTS
- At least 18 years of age.
- Able to maintain a security clearance.
- Must be able to work during the week and weekends, and will be required to work late into the evening (up to 2am)
- Work in a fast paced environment
- Previous experience is an asset.
- Individuals with integrity and high standards

WORK CONDITIONS
- Must be able to lift a maximum of 25-50 lbs. using proper lifting techniques
- Must be able to stand for prolong period of time
- Operate hot cooking equipment
- Must be able to bend to reach shelves
- Must be able to carry out light cleaning duties
- Must be available to work all shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced working environment
- Manual dexterity, preparing vegetables, meat and other food items
- Some general knowledge of the English language is required
