Position Summary/ Job Purpose
The Project Manager is a results-driven leader responsible for planning, executing, and closing projects on time, within budget, and aligned with organizational objectives. This role is a critical support to both the Director of Integrated Marketing and the Director of eCommerce & Digital Marketing, acting as a lynchpin in the marketing value stream to ensure the efficient flow of deliverables across teams and channels.
As the central connection point between process stakeholders across the organization, the Project Manager must demonstrate full ownership of outcomes, proactively drive progress, and foster alignment across diverse contributors. Success in this role requires exceptional soft skills and the ability to motivate different personality types, maintain transparency through clear and concise communication, and deliver results under tight deadlines. The individual must also be adept at identifying and capitalizing on opportunities for process improvement and optimization, continuously enhancing team efficiency and project impact.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Project Planning & Execution
- Develop and own detailed project plans, including scope, objectives, deliverables, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure milestones are met, even when priorities shift or workloads intensify.
- Monitor budgets, track expenses, and proactively manage variances.
- Ensure projects meet quality standards and are delivered on schedule through disciplined execution and adaptive problem-solving.
Stakeholder Management & Cross-Functional Alignment
- Serve as the central point of contact for all project stakeholders, maintaining trust through clear, consistent communication.
- Facilitate collaboration between internal teams, leadership, vendors, and external partners with empathy and diplomacy.
- Ensure transparency and alignment across departments, surfacing risks and dependencies early.
Risk & Issue Management
- Identify risks early and develop actionable mitigation strategies.
- Proactively resolve challenges and remove roadblocks through creative problem-solving and stakeholder engagement.
- Escalate issues thoughtfully to minimize impact and maintain momentum.
Team Leadership & Motivation
- Lead project meetings with clarity and purpose, setting direction and expectations.
- Motivate and support contributors across personality types, adapting leadership style to foster engagement and accountability.
- Champion a culture of ownership, continuous improvement, and shared success.
Process Optimization
- Identify inefficiencies or bottlenecks in workflows and propose actionable improvements.
- Collaborate with operations and leadership to implement scalable solutions that enhance delivery speed and quality.
- Document and refine repeatable processes to support long-term growth and agility.
Reporting & Documentation
- Track performance against KPIs and communicate progress with precision and insight.
- Maintain thorough documentation including plans, reports, and post-project reviews.
- Conduct evaluations to capture lessons learned and inform future initiatives.
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 5-6 years of proven experience in project management.
- PMP or equivalent certification is an asset.
- Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid).
- Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Asana, Trello, Jira, or similar).
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
