This position is part of the Market-Creating Innovation (MCI) teams, which are central to World Vision Canada’s innovation hub. We are focused on building a digitally enabled organization and exploring new engagement and market opportunities to help everyone be a philanthropist. We work in agile with a lean startup approach and design thinking, asking our team of developers, designers, advisors, and experts to think beyond and find effective and efficient technology-infused solutions that put people at the center of everything that we deliver.
Job Purpose
As a Project Coordinator, your primary responsibility is to support the successful implementation of projects that aim to build a platform for all to catalyze good in the world and help shift the typical charitable value exchange from simply “good will” to effective “impact”.
You will work collaboratively with the team and other stakeholders to ensure that project goals are achieved within scope, budget, and timeline. Your role is critical in providing administrative and operational support to the team, including project planning and tracking, documentation, and reporting.
As a key member of the team, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize new features, improvements, and technical requirements, meeting the needs of its users and achieving its business goals. Your ability to think creatively, communicate effectively, and collaborate with cross-functional teams will be essential to the success of the innovation team.
Responsibilities
Coordinate project activities and tasks, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications
Track and report project progress and status to stakeholders and other departments as needed
Manage project risks and issues, and escalate them as necessary
Monitor project budgets and expenses, and ensure that they are managed effectively
Communicate project updates and progress to stakeholders and other departments as needed
Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, and timelines
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including developers, designers, and analysts to ensure successful project delivery
Support project team members by providing guidance and assistance as needed
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in business management
1-2 Years of experience in project management
Must-Haves
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple competing priorities
Familiarity with project management tools and software
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Nice-to-Haves
Experience working in a startup environment
Experience working in a project or business management role or related field
Familiarity with project or business management methodologies
