THE OPPORTUNITY
Reporting to the VP, Finance & Accounting, this position is responsible for:
Managing accounting and financial reporting of the parent entity.
Preparing and overseeing consolidated treasury reports.
Preparation of consolidated reporting using Datarails reporting tool.
Handling of investor transaction reporting and supporting investor interactions.
Providing analytical, forecasting, reporting, and project support to CEO & VP, Finance & Accounting, such as, but not limited to, project financing and insurance requirements and key deliverables
Coordinating with external auditors and tax advisors to deliver audit and tax requirements.
Collaborating across departments to gather financial data to ensure alignment with company objectives.
Supporting due diligence, risk management, assessment, and mitigation initiatives.
Researching industry trends and analyzing business data to support strategic decisions.
Developing financial models to forecast business outcomes and guide decision-making.
Performing other related duties, as assigned.

Required experience/qualifications:
CPA designation required.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Commerce, Accounting, or Management.
2-4 years of relevant experience in corporate finance, financial planning & analysis, or a related field; public accounting experience is an asset.
Proficiency in Excel with strong financial modeling skills.
Demonstrated analytical, problem solving, and decision-making abilities.
High attention to detail and accuracy.
Additional requirements:
Satisfactory criminal and credit record check.
Compensation Package:
Annual Salary: $95,000-$130,000 dependent on experience.
The posted salary range reflects our target base salary for this role. Most successful candidates are offered salaries near the midpoint of the range, based on their experience and qualifications.
Annual Bonus: Highstreet pays an annual bonus based on company performance. A typical bonus for a Controller is approximately 28% of annual salary. Determined annually, the bonus could be more or less depending on performance results.
Investment Opportunity: Highstreet encourages all employees to share in our success by offering the opportunity to invest in the projects we build and operate. To encourage employee investment, Highstreet matches employee investment at 50%, up to 20% of annual salary (i.e. for every $1 invested by the employee, Highstreet invests $0.50 on the employee's behalf). The investments are TFSA and RRSP eligible.
