Business Development Lead – West

What You’ll Do:
The purpose of this role is to contribute to the continued development and growth of TWD’s Strategic Clients portfolio, specifically those aligned with the West (Alberta) Sales targets and the existing West Client base. This includes identifying new business opportunities and relationships within the region.
Prime responsibilities of this role:
Support the growth and development of TWD’s Strategic Clients portfolio aligned with the West Sales targets and the existing West Client base within both the Energy and Infrastructure sectors.
Contribute to regional business development efforts, including sales initiatives, relationship building, and proposal development

Business Development
Support Existing Client Base
Work to embrace existing client relationships and further develop and grow to meet regional sales targets
Identify and Grow New Client Base
Work to identify, grow and develop new client base in the West region to meet sales targets.
General:
Participate and support the development of annual regional sales targets in collaboration with the RGM and VP, with support from Corporate BD as required.
Co-ordinate, Lead and produce strategic proposal/qualifications/presentation submissions, which include reviewing the qualifications, identifying the team and strategy, preparing submittal and tracking results
Assist in planning, coordinating and communicating business development activities and events to the professional staff and the clients.
Attend and participate in networking events with existing and/or potential clients
Utilize CRM database to track all proposal information and client interactions required to develop weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports. Ensure data is accurate and updated real-time
Work with Corporate BD to promote TWD’s offering to clients
Ensure project results / learnings are accurately captured in new project proposals
Lead in and support TWD’s culture of being a “Seller-Doer” for the West Region
Complete NPS Feedback Calls for strategic Projects
Assist with coordination of BD Reporting Activities for the West Region
Occasionally, support Projects as required to ensure Client Satisfaction Project Engineer.
Qualifications
Engineering degree (B.Eng) from a recognized post-secondary institution
5+ years of relevant work experience
Experience in Oil & Gas Facilities and Pipelines
Knowledge of engineering design, construction and maintenance practices, codes, & standards
Demonstrate exceptional critical thinking skills with an ability to identify and anticipate potential risks.
Ability to work autonomously yet collaboratively as part of a team.
Shows initiative and drives cost effective and timely results.
Excellent verbal, written communication skills required
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel and Project) and SAP are assets.
