Food Partnerships offers programming that reflects our commitment to our students, staff and faculty. In addition to overseeing the food outlets, beverage services, and vending on campus, our division also ensures food needs and diversity are met through various campus food offerings, builds community by bringing people together over a meal at various food festivals and events, ensures equipment and furniture are well maintained, operates TCard+ Program and meets the changing needs of our community as a whole through the Food User Committee.

Your opportunity:
Working under the direction of the Assistant Director, Food Partnerships, the Administrative Assistant will provide administrative support to Food Partnerships which includes providing customer service for the department and help develop customer service documentation and training material as well as supporting the implementation of departmental marketing and communication plans. This position will also provide customer service for the department and help develop customer service documentation and training material.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Keeping well-informed on guidelines and government policies with regards to serving food and beverages
- Responding to enquiries within the defined scope of the role and redirecting as appropriate
- Resolving issues within the scope of the role and escalating problems as required
- Writing routine documents and correspondence
- Maintaining information on digital platforms
Essential Qualifications:
- College Diploma (2 years) or acceptable combination of equivalent experience.
- Minimum five (5) years of combined experience in the areas of professional food services and general office and financial administration.
- Demonstrated experience in writing routine documents and correspondence including ensuring the accuracy and completeness of documents, incorporating data, and disseminating information.
- Excellent communication (verbal and written) and organizational skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, and OneDrive), Adobe Acrobat, and SharePoint.
- Strong attention to detail, in order to maintain data accuracy.
- Highly service-oriented and possess strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work well in a team environment and maintain productive working relationships with all stakeholders including staff, faculty and students.
