RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain equipment, perform repairs and preventative maintenance
Ability to demonstrate working knowledge of mechanical maintenance troubleshooting principles and concepts
Repair or replace defective machinery parts
Rebuild and fabricate parts as required
Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
Perform facility maintenance and maintain clean and safe work area
Perform equipment changeovers and production set ups
Perform all work in accordance with quality standards and established safety procedures
Recommend improvements to equipment and processes
SKILLS, ABILITIES & EDUCATION
A few years industrial maintenance experience required
Must have Industrial Mechanic certification (DEC or DEP)
Previous safety training an asset.
Excellent communication and written skills.
Ability to work alone or in a group.
Attention to detail
Positive attitude and self-starter
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Safety training provided upon hiring.
Personal Protective Equipment required in all work environments.
Some positions require outdoor work.
Indoor work environments can vary between wet, dusty, cold, hot and high noise conditions.
No allergy to dust
Work around automated equipment
5 8-hour day shifts (between Monday to Sunday)
Weekend availability required
4-hour call backs between 2pm and 6am paid at 1.5 hours.
On call every 6 weeks (cell phone will be provided)
COMPENSATION
$43.37/hr
**** Please note that the work schedule will be 5 days per week at 8 hours per day and could include working a Saturday or Sunday.
Must be available on call back every day of the week from 2 pm to 6 am between shifts (you get compensated for a minimum of 4 hours at 1.5 times call back).
Must carry a cell phone for 7 days (one week) every 6 weeks.
