About the Opportunity
We are seeking ambitious individuals who excel in a rigorous, results-oriented environment to join our team as Incoming Analysts, starting in January 2026. Successful candidates will advance through our six-month professional development program and gain exposure to various Valitas projects. After this six-month period, we aim to extend Career Track opportunities to top-performing analysts who thrive in our entrepreneurial, high-accountability culture.

In this role, you will:
Participate in our Professional Development Program, including shadowing on client projects;
Lead and manage the firm’s quarterly strategic projects and support senior team members;
Work on live client assignments where appropriate, as you gain exposure to Valitas’ mandate processes and tools;
Research, build, and maintain internal databases;
Assist in preparing published materials (e.g., confidential information memoranda, white papers, infographics); and
Apply advanced tools and methods used by the leading global investment banks and private equity funds.
About Valitas
The world doesn’t need another boutique investment bank. However, there is an unmet need to engineer transformational outcomes among those private company shareholders who are serious about realizing their full value potential. This was clear enough ten years ago when Valitas was founded to address this challenge. This need is even more striking today. Our goal is to increase our clients’ shareholder value by $1 billion by 2030. To accomplish this, we must unlock at least $100 million for each client. To ensure the senior focus required to achieve this, we work with no more than four clients at a time. We have been successful for three reasons:
We deliver exceptional outcomes. Our Shareholder Value Architect system clarifies the essential few value creation levers that drive shareholder value, aligns the leadership team on how to sequence and support them, and ensures disciplined execution through our program management system.
We bring extensive experience navigating mission-critical projects. We guide clients through high-stakes corporate finance and M&A projects with rigour honed over 30 years working on transactions worth more than $80 billion.
We build lasting partnerships. Our clients often start with a single mandate but stay with us for years as we earn trust by proving our commitment to unleashing their shareholder value potential.
If you are excited by a unique opportunity to work on long-term, high-impact projects that combine corporate finance, M&A, strategy, and data science to help private company shareholders unlock transformative value, Valitas is the perfect place to launch your career.
Those who succeed at Valitas are voracious learners and disciplined executors who thrive on solving complex problems. You are a rigorous thinker who navigates ambiguity with confidence, takes ownership from day one, and has the drive to transform potential into action. You combine analytical precision with creativity, connecting dots, generating insights, and communicating ideas with clarity and impact.
The skills and attributes that set our most successful team members apart are:
A proven record of high performance in demanding academic or professional environments;
Strong ability to structure, prioritize, and independently drive complex workstreams to completion;
Exceptional analytical skills;
Creativity and intellectual curiosity—constantly asking “why” and “what if” to uncover better answers;
Mastery of Excel, PowerPoint, and Word, with an eye for precision and elegance;
Clear, concise written and verbal communication; and
A strong sense of agency and accountability, combined with humility and a collaborative mindset.
Compensation for Career Track Analysts is competitive with the leading Canadian capital market groups and private equity funds. Valitas also offers a health and wellness benefits plan along with a remote office allowance.
