The Product Owner for our Over The Top (OTT) team, creates inclusive, engaging and accessible product experiences for Canadians informed by clear, measurable key results and delivery expectations. You will be responsible for managing and delivering one of the backlogs related to CBC/Radio-Canada’s Over-The-Top products, which include CBC Gem and Tou.TV. You will be responsible for coordinating the execution of work with developers, designers, Quality Assurance team members, taking direction from the Product Directors. Contribute to the OTT product roadmap and prioritization Establish measurable product outcomes (product performance metrics) Oversee releases and validate quality with team Collaborate with other OTT product teams and external partners to manage dependencies, optimize our value delivery and minimize code/release conflicts Oversee: priorities, decisions, resolutions Clearly articulate and plan for the execution of development and QA tasks Be a subject matter expert for the product vertical (Value Stream) and components Facilitate removing obstacles related to product priorities/goals/vision Communicate delivery progress for the value stream Participate in identifying and solutioning product risks related to Value, Viability, Usability (with the Designer) and Feasibility (with the Technical Leaders) Qualifications: You have 5-7 years of OTT Product Owner experience, preferably with a proven track record in developing video streaming products or other direct-to-consumer media or app experience. You actively foster an outcome-focused approach. You have demonstrable experience with: scoping, planning and delivering complex and inclusive digital projects to quality, time and budget constraints using Agile methodologies. You have experience with managing backlogs, in collaboration with agile product teams, and are proficient in the Google Suite, Slack, Jira, Tempo, Confluence, and project management tools. You can quickly learn new technologies. You are comfortable in transforming requirements into digestible elements in order to deliver quicker learnings and success You have experience with continuous improvement and test-driven development to improve product delivery process You practice facilitation-forward practices that contribute toward product and team discussions You are a strong and consistent communicator. You have proven ability to assess and communicate trade-offs and benefits Ensure software best practices are applied to delivery. Example test plans and code review Advocate for and support initiatives to improve accessibility, equity and inclusion within digital experiences Commitment to reflecting the CBC community and a diverse, contemporary Canada Experience with user lifecycle management and funnel strategies is an asset.
